Terms of service

The basics of using Put It Together JM.

These Terms of Service apply to Put It Together JM (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a registered business in Jamaica.

Effective date: September 14, 2026.

Using the service

Use the store to buy personalized products, gift items such as candles and key rings, and bundles. Gift items may be standard or customized, as described on the product page. You are responsible for the photos, names, messages and other content you upload or type into a design. Keep your account details accurate, protect your sign-in details, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized account activity.

Orders and payment

Custom items are produced to order. Prices are shown at checkout in Jamaican dollars (JMD); shipping and any applicable tax are calculated before you place the order. If you choose to use available store credit, that credit is deducted when your order is successfully placed. Any remaining amount must be paid separately using the payment instructions provided; placing a bank-transfer order does not automatically withdraw money from your bank account. An order fully covered by store credit requires no additional payment to us. Your invoice and any applicable payment instructions are shown on your order page and sent to your email. Production starts only after your payment is confirmed, unless we agree otherwise with you.

Because each customized item is made to order, customized items cannot be cancelled or refunded once production begins because you changed your mind, submitted the wrong photo, approved a low-quality image, or no longer want the item. If an item arrives damaged, materially different from what was ordered, or has a print or production error caused by us, we will review the issue and may remake, replace, or refund the item where appropriate. See shipping and returns.

Your cart and saved designs

Adding an item to your cart does not reserve stock. Other customers may hold the same items in their carts, and availability is checked when an order is placed. Another order may take the remaining stock before yours is placed. Review the current products, options, quantities, prices and delivery charges at checkout before confirming your order.

Saving a design does not place an order. Check that your latest changes have saved, especially after a connection problem, and review the size, layout, crop, text and quantity before ordering. Keep your original photos; a saved project is not permanent photo storage.

The custom-production restrictions above apply to customized items. For a standard gift item, contact us before arranging a return so we can confirm the appropriate steps. For bundles, identify the affected item when reporting a problem. Your statutory rights apply in each case. Delivery options and charges are explained in our shipping and returns policy.

Store credit

Store credit is an amount held on your customer account in Jamaican dollars. We may issue credit as a gift, for a promotion or special event, as a goodwill gesture, or to correct an error. We record each addition or adjustment. You can see additions, adjustments, use on orders and returns in your credit history. Contact us if you believe an entry is incorrect; correcting a record does not remove an amount we still owe you.

Using credit is optional. When store credit can be used at checkout, you can choose whether to use your available credit at checkout or keep it for a later purchase. Checkout shows the credit to be used and the remaining amount payable before you place the order. Credit is a payment towards the order, not a discount: your invoice shows it separately from the order total. Adding items to a cart does not spend or reserve credit. The available balance is checked again when you place your order.

Open Orders in your account and select the store-credit amount or history icon beside the heading to see your balance and history. The link remains available after you spend your balance to zero. If we temporarily stop accepting credit at checkout, your existing balance and history remain available; this does not remove your existing credit balance.

Store credit is for purchases from Put It Together JM and cannot be transferred between customer accounts. It is not a general cash-withdrawal service. Approved order returns and the repayment arrangements for a closed account below are handled separately. Store credit does not replace a refund or other remedy to which you are entitled by law.

Returning payments and credit

When an eligible order is cancelled, credit used on it is returned to your account, less any credit already returned for that order. If you have not paid the remaining amount separately, there is no separate payment to refund. Money already paid separately is handled separately from the credit return.

For an approved partial or full return, we record money refunded and credit returned separately. The amount you paid with credit is normally returned as credit. Money you paid separately, such as by bank transfer, is normally refunded to you separately, subject to your statutory rights. Each portion is limited to what was paid through that source, less previous returns. Your order details show the amounts returned, and credit returned to your account also appears in your credit history. Correcting the record of a separate payment refund does not automatically take back credit already returned to you.

Store credit when you close your account

Closing your account does not automatically convert store credit into money, and it does not erase any amount we are still required to return to you. Closing an account does not, by itself, make a store-credit balance payable as money to you.

If credit remains when you ask to close your account, we will review how and why it was added. Credit given as a gift, promotion, special-event benefit or goodwill gesture does not automatically qualify for a money refund. We may need to resolve the remaining balance or an outstanding return before we can finish closing your account. Returning credit used on an order does not, by itself, change that credit into money that can be withdrawn.

If your account has already been closed and you believe we still owe you a repayment, contact us with your order number, where relevant, and information supporting your claim. We will review our records and reasonably verify the claim; an order number alone is not proof of entitlement. If the amount represents an outstanding repayment from an order or another amount we are required to return to you, we will arrange an appropriate repayment method outside the closed account. This review does not limit your statutory rights.

We record the amount paid, payment method, date and reference. If only part of the amount due is repaid, the rest remains owed. We do not reopen the closed account solely to settle the amount or transfer it to another customer's account.

When production begins

Production begins when we start preparing, printing, pressing, assembling, packaging, or otherwise making your custom item.

Cancellations

For custom items, request cancellation before production begins. Visit your order in your account to use cancellation when available, or contact us directly. Once custom production has started, we cannot accept a change-of-mind cancellation. Contact us about cancellation of standard items or an affected bundle; this does not limit remedies for an order problem.

Content you upload

You keep ownership of your photos. You grant us permission to use them only to save and preview your design and to produce, package, deliver, support or reprint your order. We keep an order's photos for 90 days after it is delivered or cancelled to support reprints, then permanently delete them. A project you save but never order may be removed, along with its photos, after about 180 days of inactivity — so keep your own copy of anything you upload and don't rely on saved projects as permanent storage. See the privacy policy.

You are responsible for the quality and accuracy of the images you submit. We print what you provide. If a photo is low resolution, cropped, blurry, too dark, or has important details near the edge, the finished product may reflect that. The editor may show quality or safe-edge warnings before you add a design to your cart.

If you continue after a warning about low image quality, empty photo boxes, edge placement, or text readability, the final product may reflect those choices. We are not responsible for print issues caused by customer-submitted low-quality images or approved design choices, but we remain responsible for production errors caused by us.

Customer reviews

Customers with a completed eligible order may leave one review for each purchased product or bundle line. Reviews are available for a limited period after you receive or collect your order. Review access is tied to your account and order history; public visitors cannot post reviews.

A review may include a rating, written comments, optional review photos, and optional private delivery or pickup feedback. Product comments and review photos may be published on the relevant product or bundle page after moderation. Private delivery or pickup feedback is for Put It Together JM only and is not published.

By submitting a review, you confirm that your review is honest, based on your own purchase, and does not include unlawful, abusive, misleading, private, or third-party content you do not have permission to share. By uploading a review photo and confirming website-display permission, you allow us to show that photo with your review on our website. Separate permission is required for broader marketing or social-media use.

Published reviews may be shown with a display name, rating, date, product or variant details, review photos you permitted for website display, and a response from Put It Together JM. We may reject, hide, or remove reviews or review photos that are spam, abusive, irrelevant, unsafe, infringe rights, expose private information, or otherwise violate these terms. We may respond to published reviews, but we will not rewrite your review wording.

If you edit a published review, the current published version may remain visible while the edit is reviewed. If an edit is approved, the updated review replaces the public version. You may also request removal of your review; removal does not create a new right to review the same order line again.

Reporting order issues

If there is a problem with your order, please contact us promptly, ideally within 7 days of receiving it, and include your order number, photos of the issue, and any relevant delivery details. We may need to review the item before confirming a remake, replacement, or refund.

Content we may refuse

Because we produce physical printed items, we may refuse, cancel, or ask you to change an order if the uploaded content is not appropriate for us to print. This includes content that:

  • you do not own or do not have permission to use, including copyrighted photos, artwork, logos, or celebrity images;
  • uses another person's image, name, or likeness without their consent where consent is required;
  • is unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, defamatory, fraudulent, or intended to impersonate someone;
  • contains pornographic, sexually exploitative, or non-consensual intimate material;
  • sexualizes, exploits, or endangers a child or minor in any way;
  • shows graphic violence, abuse, or instructions for illegal activity;
  • would reasonably create a safety, legal, or reputational risk for our business.

If we refuse an order before production begins, we will contact you where possible and either ask for a replacement design or cancel the order. We do not review every upload before checkout, so acceptance of an upload by the website does not guarantee that we will print it.

Governing law

Nothing in these terms or our shipping and returns policy limits your rights or remedies under applicable Jamaican consumer-protection law. Our change-of-mind restrictions do not exclude remedies for faulty or materially misdescribed goods, and our request to report issues within 7 days does not remove any statutory rights you may have.

These terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica. Any disputes will be resolved under Jamaican jurisdiction.

Questions and updates

Use our contact page for questions, cancellation requests or complaints. Include your order reference where relevant. We show the effective date of these terms above; a later update does not erase an existing credit balance, order record or statutory right.
